Waipahi Abode

This delightfully small abode was built for a fly-fishing enthusiast on rural church grounds.

The owners had enjoyed holidaying in the existing church for many years. Their brief was for a small retreat that provided a warm oasis, while allowing the church to independently cater for guests.  The dwelling had to be low maintenance and energy efficient.

The single level, thermally efficient build is a modern contrast to the church and sits boldly on the landscape, enjoying expansive views across neighbouring farmland.
